Township on the way from Pretoria to Kapama Safari Lodge.
I had no idea how diverse the landscape of South Africa is. This was part of our drive today from Pretoria to Kapama Lodge. Some of the drive was across steep, narrow, mountain roads. It was a beautiful drive, but we were all glad to arrive at the lodge.
We didn't have much time between "lunch" (seems eating is a big part of this trip) and heading out on our first safari. We scored big, seeing the white rhino with her little one, lions, giraffes, warthogs, zebras, numerous birds, impalas, kudus, duykers, and to top it off, three lions and two leopards.
this was our welcome to Kapama Lodge.
